I've been getting back into jazz a lot lately. I felt it was time for another jazz album since it had been a few months. My favorite Roland Kirk albums. Really everything he did is excellent. Yes, I did get the name of this blog from one of the songs on this album.

Funebrarum - Beneath The Columns Of Abandoned Gods

I hate to use the word brutal, but that is one of the first things that comes to my mind when I listen to this band. Sometimes slow and very punishing. A throw back to the old school of death metal. Classic album.

Immortal - Pure Holocaust

It is snowing here in Ohio, so I felt obligated to post an Immortal album. Here is my personal favorite out of all of them.

Hatred Surge - Servant B/W Bestial 7"

2 songs. Like nothing you've ever heard from them before. Be sure to buy it before it goes out of print!

Sleep - Volume One

The extremely underrated first album from Sleep. Much more doom metal than the other albums.

Bolt Thrower - In Battle There Is No Law

First album from the classic grindcore band. Very underrated album.

Confuse / Unholy Grave / Thrash 'Till Death

3 solid albums. Not much to say Links are in the comments as usual

My personal favorite of all the Plutocracy material. I prefer to file them as sludgy-power violence / grindcore. They called themselves "Dankcore: A mix of Grindcore, distortion, movie samples, gangtsa’ rap, and multiple screaming voices with references to killing cops, smoking weed, and inside jokes regarding their 'crew', known to many as the 'Doomryderz'."
One of the best releases from the amazing Slap-A-Ham record label. Go get the discography if you're really into this.

Spazz was an influential American power violence band active between 1992 and 2000. It's got OPP and Pin The Tail On The Donkey (May remember that song from THPS 2)but more importantly, it includes Guard Your Grill, Uptown Anthem, and my personal favorite, Wickedest Man Alive. Stanton Swihart of All Music Guide claims that it was the most "contagious crossover radio smash in the autumn of 1991."^[1] In addition, Swihart considers Naughty by Nature to be "both a pop and a rap classic," as well as a "must-have album for fans of East Coast rap."
