"I Hate Henry Rollins"
No post for today...Just this:
If that gentleman wasn't standing there you could read it says "I Hate Henry Rollins".
This was my doing. Har har har.
I'm going to do a little ranting here.
1) 95% of New York Hardcore is over rated and terrible.
2) The Cro-Mags are not any good.
3) Alec Mackaye is better than Ian Mackaye.
4) Black Flag is overrated.
5) The Melvins are better than your favorite band.

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and The Sinner Lady
My favorite Mingus album. I don't know what to say about it other than it's really good. Here's a good description of it "Written as a ballet, the work borrows from Ellingtonian and Latin sources, but creates a unique orchestral style that Mingus called "ethnic folk-dance music".

"Stop! Look! and Listen, Sinner Jim Whitney!"
2. "Track B — Duet Solo Dancers" –6:25

"Stop! Look! and Sing Songs of Revolutions!"
"Mode E — Single Solos and Group Dance"
"Saint and Sinner Join in Merriment on Battle Front"
"Mode F — Group and Solo Dance"
"Of Love, Pain, and Passioned Revolt, then Farewell, My Beloved, 'til It's Freedom Day"

76% Uncertain- Estimated Monkey Time
Not really sure where to start with this. I love this album. Fast & angry hardcore from Connecticut, melodic, intelligent & diverse. What else could you ask for? Plutocracy - Dankstahz
My personal favorite of all the Plutocracy material. I prefer to file them as sludgy-power violence / grindcore. They called themselves "Dankcore: A mix of Grindcore, distortion, movie samples, gangtsa’ rap, and multiple screaming voices with references to killing cops, smoking weed, and inside jokes regarding their 'crew', known to many as the 'Doomryderz'."
One of the best releases from the amazing Slap-A-Ham record label. Go get the discography if you're really into this.

3 A.S.A.L.(Spazz)

5 Let The Past Be The Past(25 Ta Life)
6 Pain Is Temporary(25 Ta Life)
Spazz was an influential American power violence band active between 1992 and 2000. The trio released numerous records within this time, many of which are now highly collectable due to their relative rarity. The band's releases often showcased their unusual sense of humour: absurdly long and nonsensical song titles, audio samples from b-movies and kung-fu films between songs and the occasional use of hip hop beats as well as saxophones, banjos and other instruments rarely associated within hardcore punk.
